The Edge of Darkness, a psychological drama, was written by Brian Clemens. His TV credits include The Avengers and The Professionals. Emma Cranwell finds herself in a Dublin hospital but has no recollection of her past or how she came to be there. Her parents, Max and Laura, discover her whereabouts and take her back home. But as they begin to rebuild their lives, certain pieces of Emma's past do not seem to fit. Why does she fear the sound of a silver bell? Recoil at the sight of a portrait on the wall? Why is she so horrified of knives? All the essential thriller elements are here - including an ambitious maid, a suspicious butler and a late-night gentleman caller. Behind the unanswered questions lurks a menacing mystery... The Edge of Darkness was performed at Hamble-Le-Rice Memorial Hall in the High Street |
